About Claire
First and foremost, Claire is passionate about helping people. Each appointment is delivered in a personalised manner in a warm, comfortable, safe and confidential environment at her clinic in Polegate and in certain circumstances, treatments can be offered in the comfort of your own home. Claire is compassionate, sensitive, empathetic and kind. You are her sole focus.
Claire focuses with great detail on her needling techniques to ensure patients have a positive experience. Most patients are very surprised by the needling and state not actually feeling the needles at all. The needles are about the same thickness as a strand of hair; so there is no need to worry.
What makes Claire stand out is not only will she go above and beyond to find the right treatment for you, she will explain every step to you in an effort to increase understanding of why she is doing what she is doing. Claire feels communication is key during acupuncture, it helps in understanding conditions / treatments and building a client / practitioner trusting relationship which can be key to recovery. In addition, Claire offers other treatments but will not charge anything extra; she will use her knowledge of acupuncture, remedial massage and Sotai to determine the best course of action. If a massage might help, this will be added to your session at no extra cost.
Claire studied for three years at the wonderful International College of Oriental Medicine (ICOM) in East Grinstead and graduated in September 2024. Since then, her personalised, professional and friendly approach has helped her business grow a lot faster than anticipated. Claire is busy making a difference. Even sceptical patients have returned with a change of heart and mind.
What made you want to practice acupuncture?
Having experienced first-hand the life-changing impact acupuncture had on her after complications from a planned C-section, Claire was determined and motivated to help others with the use of acupuncture. Claire had three rounds of IVF from 2016 to 2019. This included heartache, joy and unimaginable pain. After complications during the birth of her daughter in 2016 Claire was left with a debilitating back condition. A variety of treatments were completed with no impact.
That’s when Claire tried acupuncture for the first time and with a few weeks, her back condition was completely transformed. It’s no exaggeration to say this was life changing. From this moment on, Claire knew her path was to study and practice acupuncture.
